EAN 2017 | Dementia, it’s not only Alzheimer’s disease

Antonio Federico, MD from the University of Siena, Siena, Italy gives an overview of his talk on ‘Dementia not only Alzheimer’s disease’ held at the 2017 Congress of the European Academy of Neurology (EAN) in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Prof. Federico explains that there are more than 100 causes of dementia. He further outlines our current understanding of genetic mutations that alter the functionality of neurons and discusses rare neurological conditions that lead to dementia.
