At the 31st International Conference of Alzheimer’s Disease International (ADI), held in Budapest, Hungary, from April 21–24 2016, Peter Mittler, CBE, PhD, from The University of Manchester, Manchester, United Kingdom, discusses the ADI adoption of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities to improve the lives of people with dementia, initiated by Dementia Alliance International (DAI) and commissioned jointly by DAI and ADI.
