AAIC 2021 | The contribution of vascular disease to cognitive impairment and Alzheimer’s pathology

Atticus Hainsworth, PhD, St. George’s University of London, discusses the role of vascular diseases in contributing to cognitive impairment and Alzheimer’s disease (AD) pathology. He describes some of the conditions which may cause cognitive impairment or worsen pathology seen in AD patients and suggests that vascular diseases may be a viable target for dementia treatments. This interview took place during the Alzheimer’s Association International Conference (AAIC), 2021.
