Pasquale Calabrese, PhD from the University of Basel, Basel, Switzerland discusses challenges with managing neuropsychiatric symptoms in Alzheimer’s disease and vascular dementia patients. Prof. Calabrese explains that dementia has different clinical stages and that behavioral aberrations can occur at different stages and how this affects approaches to managing symptoms. He also highlights that it is important to adapt the environment of patients before turning to pharmacological interventions.
