AAIC 2017 | Smart living: the DIY Smart Home project

Jesse Hoey, PhD from the University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada discusses the DIY Smart Home project, which aims to help Alzheimer’s disease and dementia patients install intelligent systems in their home to provide assistance with tasks they may find difficult. Dr Hoey explains the importance of co-design in building these homes and talks about the objectives of Aspire, an online collaborative network. This interview was recorded at the 2017 Alzheimer’s Association International Conference (AAIC) in London, UK.
