ARUK 2022 | Effect of genetics on psychosis in Alzheimer’s disease

Byron Creese, PhD, University of Exeter Medical School, Exeter, UK, discusses how genetics are involved in the development of psychosis in patients with Alzheimer’s disease (AD). There has been research into how the level of education of a patient can affect the risk of developing psychosis in AD and links between the genetics of other psychiatric conditions, such as schizophrenia, and similar psychotic symptoms in AD are being investigated. This interview took place at the Alzheimer’s Research UK Conference 2022 in Brighton, UK.
