In patients suffering from Alzheimer’s disease (AD), it has been suggested that plasma tau levels can vary depending on the severity of the condition. Michelle Mielke, PhD from the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN talks to us about her recent study which examined the relationship between plasma tau levels and cognition. Dr Mielke discusses the results and the conclusions made regarding tau levels as a biomarker for AD.
