AAIC 2017 | Each to their own: personalizing music therapy

The musical tastes of dementia patients can vary wildly. Teppo Särkämö, PhD from the Cognitive Brain Research Unit (CBRU), University of Helsinki, Helsinki, Finland talks to us about the importance of tailoring music therapy to best match what is relevant for each dementia patient, and why it is best to have a systematic approach in applying the therapy. This interview was recorded at the 2017 Alzheimer’s Association International Conference (AAIC) held in London, UK.
