Two sides to the story: clearance in Alzheimer’s disease

Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is a disorder involving problems in protein clearance, as well as protein production. Zhen Zhao, PhD from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, LA speaks to us about two of the major pathways in protein clearance, and their role in AD. Prof. Zhao also discusses the next goals in this field, and explains his hopes for what this work could lead to. This interview was recorded at the 2017 Alzheimer’s Association International Conference (AAIC) held in London, UK.
