EAN 2017 | The prevention and treatment of vascular cognitive impairment

Leonardo Pantoni, MD, PhD from the University of Florence, Florence, Italy talks about the management of vascular cognitive impairment at the 2017 Congress of the European Academy of Neurology (EAN) in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The control of vascular risk factors has been shown to be able to reduce the burden of dementia over time. In terms of the symptomatic treatment of patients with vascular dementia, Dr Pantoni points out that some drugs have shown the effective and the hope is to have licensed drugs in the near future.
