AAIC 2017 | Late and early-onset AD: understanding the differences

Early-onset Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is associated with different patterns in disease progression to those observed in late-onset AD. Liana Apostolova, MD, MS from Indiana University School of Medicine, Indianapolis, IN talks to us about the focus of her lab in understanding the differences in neurodegeneration, atrophy and metabolism between patients suffering from these disorders. Dr Apostolova also describes her work which further differentiated these patients by examining amyloid positivity. This interview was recorded at the 2017 Alzheimer’s Association International Conference (AAIC) in London, UK.
