ARUK 2022 | Next steps for the ARUK Early Careers Research Strategy

Rosa Sancho, PhD, Alzheimer’s Research UK, Cambridge, UK, discusses the next steps in developing the Alzheimer’s Research UK (ARUK) Early Careers Research Strategy. A key part of this development will involve talking to early career researchers about which areas they need the most training in and building new initiatives based on their feedback. One initiative that ARUK is aiming to implement in the near future is the creation of career development groups involving one mentor with a number of mentees, which will allow early career researchers the opportunity to get both mentor and peer support. Dr Sancho encourages early career researchers to use the portal on the ARUK website to find out more about the various initiatives. This interview took place at the Alzheimer’s Research UK Conference 2022 in Brighton, UK.
