Judith Steen, PhD, of the Boston Children’s Hospital, Boston, MA, shares her excitement to be in the field of proteomics and structural biology, a rapidly progressing area of Alzheimer’s Disease research. Dr Steen highlights a session at the AAIC 2021 meeting on advances in methodology for structural biology of neurodegeneration, noting that many developments have occurred in the last 5 years, with researchers gaining a better understanding of the molecular structure of tau and other prionopathies, and a better understanding of the global pathways. This interview took place during the Alzheimer’s Association International Conference (AAIC) 2021.
