Approaching Alzheimer’s research with an open mind

Karl Herrup, PhD, of Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Clear Water Bay, Hong Kong, SAR, P.R. China, makes some controversial statements about the biology of Alzheimer’s disease, regarding both its initiation and progression. Speaking from the Alzheimer’s Association International Conference (AAIC) 2018, in Chicago, IL, Prof. Herrup explains why his research is carried out in a number of different fields and why he believes investigations into Alzheimer’s should be carried out with a mind open to new ideas.
