AD/PD 2022 | Promoting dementia research in the Middle East

Abdulrazak Abyad, MD, Abyad Medical Center, Tripoli, Lebanon, discusses the dementia research needs in the Middle East and the ways research in aging and dementia are being promoted. Lack of academic support and funding are some of the main barriers to dementia research in this region. Efforts are underway to encourage research in the Middle East, including collaboration with organizations across the globe and the publication of books and papers to disseminate knowledge and improve access to education. This interview took place at the AD/PD™ 2022 Conference in Barcelona, Spain.
