AAIC 2017 | The challenges of diagnosing Alzheimer’s disease

Determining the presence of Alzheimer’s disease can be a challenge in the treatment of patients suffering from the disorder. Liana Apostolova, MD, MS from Indiana University School of Medicine, Indianapolis, IN discusses where the difficulties lie in identifying the disease, and the unique problems associated with early-onset patients. Dr Apostolova also talks about the role of early-onset Alzheimer’s patients in clinical trials, and explains why they may be the ideal cohort to take part in studies. This interview was recorded at the 2017 Alzheimer’s Association International Conference (AAIC) held in London, UK.
