AAIC 2017 | Does cognitive training help your memory?

Glenn Smith, PhD from the University of Florida, Gainesville, FL discusses the limitations and benefits of cognitive training in dementia at the Alzheimer’s Association International Conference (AAIC) 2017, London, UK. Dr Smith describes how brain training does not directly improve memory, and the benefits will dissipate if training is not continued long-term. There are other activities though which can be taught and be used in tandem with cognitive training. These additional techniques have shown promising results so far.
