Vladimir Hachinski, MD, DSc, FAAN, Western University, Ontario, Canada, discusses the differences between a person having Alzheimer’s pathologies and having been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. Vascular pathologies are a key part of many dementias, and Prof. Hachinski emphasizes the importance of diagnosing these pathologies as they are largely treatable and preventable.
