Understanding emotion in Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) patients is important to ensure they receive the best care possible. Jesse Hoey, PhD from the University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada talks about the work being undertaken to embed computational models of emotion into assistive technology, such as the COACH system, and the difficulties associated with this goal.
