AAIC 2021 | Understanding brain health disparities

Amy Kind, MD, PhD, University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, discusses how brain health disparities disproportionately impact individuals based on racial, socioeconomic, and environmental characteristics. She goes on to describe how understanding the mechanisms behind these differences may help us to further understand fundamental physiology, which we could, in turn, use to reduce these disparities. This interview took place during the Alzheimer’s Association International Conference (AAIC), 2021.
