AAIC 2020 | Alzheimer’s disease: balancing infection risk and mental well-being during the COVID-19 pandemic

Clive Ballard, University of Exeter Medical School, Exeter, UK, discusses how COVID-19 has impacted people with dementia and cognitive impairment. More work should be done in achieving the balance between maintenance of mental wellbeing while being in isolation and trying to minimize potential infection risks. Further, it was apparent that those with cognitive impairment were often at a higher risk of developing mental health symptoms that could have increased cognitive decline. This interview was recorded on an online conference call with The Video Journal of Dementia (VJDementia).
