AAIC 2021 | Humanitude: investigating the effect of care training in caregivers, dentists, & medical students

Miwako Honda, MD, National Hospital Organization Tokyo Medical Center, Tokyo, Japan, outlines recent investigations into the Humanitude multimodal comprehensive care methodology in Japan. Research is looking into why the care plan works, as well as clinical studies investigating the effect of teaching Humanitude to healthcare professionals and caregivers. Dr Honda shares the findings of several observational studies looking at the effect of Humanitude training, including for family caregivers, oral healthcare professionals, and medical students. Dr Honda also discusses the development of care robots to support caregivers. This interview took place during the Alzheimer’s Association International Conference 2021.
