AAIC 2017 | Not just a condition for the elderly: early-onset Alzheimer’s

Chiadi Onyike, MD from Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD speaks to us about early-onset Alzheimer’s disease, detailing the disease presentations and how the disorder differs from typical and old-onset Alzheimer’s. Many of the measures we currently use to evaluate the disease do not take these differences into account – Dr Onyike discusses how this affects the treatment of early-onset Alzheimer’s patients, and gives details about the opportunities that studying this condition could present. This interview was recorded at the 2017 Alzheimer’s Association International Conference (AAIC) held in London, UK.
