AAIC 2017 | The role of tau in autosomal dominant Alzheimer’s disease

Advances in amyloid and, more recently, tau PET imaging techniques have allowed us to observe the biomarkers implicated in pre-clinical Alzheimer’s disease (AD). Tammie Benzinger, MD, PhD from Washington University in St. Louis School of Medicine, St. Louis, MO talks to us about the sessions at the 2017 Alzheimer’s Association International Conference (AAIC) in London, UK which focused on the interaction between tau and amyloid pathologies. Dr Benzinger discusses her presentation on a study into an autosomal dominant model of AD, and gives details about the biological questions the results will likely prompt.
